Herewith the first in a trilogy of short films entitled - The Sacred Book of Black Venus.
The title comes from a grimoire supposedly penned by the Elizabethan magus Dr. John Dee. (also known as Tuba Veneris - Trumpet of Venus).
The trilogy explores symbols of the dark feminine in the London landscape. The adjective 'dark' refers to her unknowable nature rather than any ethical judgements.
This first film is called 'Gateway' and looks at the Feminine as gateway between life & death.
